Not every roofer gets into our network, and the checklist is public because homeowners deserve to know what “vetted” means. Before any contractor can receive a match from us, we verify five things.

The five checks

First, an active Pennsylvania home improvement contractor registration, verified against the Attorney General’s registry, not taken on faith. Second, current liability and workers compensation insurance certificates. Third, a review history that shows a real local track record: years of reviews from named local customers, not a burst of five stars from nowhere. Fourth, pricing sanity: we compare each contractor’s pricing against market ranges for the area, because a vetted network that lets overcharging through is not protecting anyone. Fifth, a real local footprint: an address you could drive to, and a history of answering the phone after the job is done.

Exclusive matching, by design

Standard lead sites sell your request to four or five companies, which is why your phone melts. We match each request with one contractor. That exclusivity is also why contractors treat our homeowners well: the match is valuable, and keeping their place in the network requires keeping homeowners happy.

Who is behind this

The PGH Roofer was built by the team behind Bella Construction of Irwin, a roofing company serving the Pittsburgh area since 1995 with an A+ BBB rating and 4.7 stars across more than 900 reviews. In parts of our coverage area, your match may be Bella; elsewhere, it is an independent pro who passed the same five checks. We tell you which, by name, before you connect.
